Job description

Our mission is to turn beautiful moments into lasting memories.

celebrate is a brand group with the mission to turn beautiful moments into lasting memories throughout Europe: with high quality stationery, photo products and special gift items.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Platform Team and contribute to the development and evolution of our configurator and underlying platform services.

You combine strong frontend and backend engineering skills to build reliable features, support product teams, and gradually modernise complex systems in a remote-first role within Germany.

Your role

  • End-to-end development across frontend and backend, covering the configurator, design publishing flows, AI platform services, and rendering pipelines to deliver stable customer-facing features

  • Contribution to platform evolution through active involvement in new project definitions, architectural discussions, and long-term technical decisions shaping future services

  • Ongoing support for product teams through hands-on contributions across codebases, code reviews, and design discussions to ensure quality, consistency, and shared ownership

  • Operational responsibility for production stability including monitoring, incident response, and incremental improvements within a partially migrated legacy-to-modern system landscape

Tech-Stack

  • Frontend & Interaction: React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS for feature-rich and interactive customer-facing applications

  • Backend & APIs: Node.js services and clean, maintainable server-side logic supporting the event and configurator ecosystem

  • Testing & QA: unit tests and end-to-end tests for robust test coverage across frontend features and critical user flows

  • Infrastructure & Monitoring: AWS for scalable hosting, Grafana with OTel standards for observability across services and application behaviour

Your benefits

  • We value flexibility: Flexible remote work, part-time options, modern hardware (Macbooks), collaborative office spaces (flex desks)

  • We embrace new work: Agile working, fair pay, competency- and leadership models

  • We care for your well-being: Nilo.health, workations, sabbaticals, 30 days paid vacation

  • We want to grow with you: Internal development, coaching, regular feedback- and growth processes, flexible external learning

  • We are one team: Office meals, (voluntary) events, remote team building, furry office friends and exclusive family & friends discounts

Job requirements

Your profile

  • +4 years of experience as a fullstack engineer working across frontend and backend in complex, product-driven environments

  • Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js with solid API design experience and familiarity with modern cloud, CI/CD, and testing practices

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) required for daily operations and team collaboration

Your mindset

  • Pragmatic – You focus on practical, reliable solutions, balancing code quality, performance, cost, and complexity when making day-to-day technical decisions.

  • Collaborative – You work openly with product, data, and DevOps partners, offering support and feedback while keeping shared goals and priorities in view.

  • Ownership-driven – You take responsibility from initial implementation through long-term maintenance, staying engaged with production realities and continuous improvement.
