We're looking for a full-time Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Accounting team and take ownership of month-end and year-end closings across a group structure. The role is Remote First in Germany, reporting directly to the Function Lead Accounting.

The yearly salary range for this position is 56.200 € - 76.000 € (Senior).

Your role

• Ownership of monthly and annual financial closings under HGB, including fixed assets, account reconciliations and audit-ready documentation

• Preparation and review of VAT returns, ensuring timely filings across multiple European jurisdictions

• Active contribution to group consolidation across eight legal entities, including intercompany reconciliation and alignment with controlling

• Execution of regular payment runs, support during audits, and contribution to process improvements within accounting

Your profile

• Several years of hands-on experience in financial closing under HGB, ideally within a multi-entity group structure

• Solid knowledge of German tax law, particularly in the area of international sales tax

• Fluent German and good English skills, with confident use of Excel and accounting software in a group environment

• Meticulous – You take pride in audit-proof documentation and treat every reconciliation as if the auditor is already in the room.

• Resilient – You stay calm and focused during peak closing periods, managing external deadlines for tax filings and audits without losing sight of quality.

• Collaborative – You communicate numbers clearly to non-finance stakeholders and work closely with controlling, tax advisors, and auditors to keep everyone aligned.
