We're looking for a full-time Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Accounting team and take ownership of month-end and year-end closings across a group structure. The role is Remote First in Germany, reporting directly to the Function Lead Accounting.
The yearly salary range for this position is 56.200 € - 76.000 € (Senior).
Your role
Ownership of monthly and annual financial closings under HGB, including fixed assets, account reconciliations and audit-ready documentation
Preparation and review of VAT returns, ensuring timely filings across multiple European jurisdictions
Active contribution to group consolidation across eight legal entities, including intercompany reconciliation and alignment with controlling
Execution of regular payment runs, support during audits, and contribution to process improvements within accounting

Job requirements
Your profile
Several years of hands-on experience in financial closing under HGB, ideally within a multi-entity group structure
Solid knowledge of German tax law, particularly in the area of international sales tax
Fluent German and good English skills, with confident use of Excel and accounting software in a group environment
Your mindset
Meticulous – You take pride in audit-proof documentation and treat every reconciliation as if the auditor is already in the room.
Resilient – You stay calm and focused during peak closing periods, managing external deadlines for tax filings and audits without losing sight of quality.
Collaborative – You communicate numbers clearly to non-finance stakeholders and work closely with controlling, tax advisors, and auditors to keep everyone aligned.
